Pioneer mixer and cdj's, Mac G5 I've been dj'ing since '96. Back then I played for a production company called Cybertribe. We threw some of the largest parties in the Midwest US, bringing in some of the largest names in the electronic dance music industry. I've headlined several events and opened up main rooms for some of the most well known names in the world, including Medway, Noel Sanger, Sandra Collins, Habersham, Cass, Christopher Lawrence, Kimball Collins, D:Fuse, Deepsky, DJ Dan, Keoki, and many more. Over the years I've moved around a bit, having residencies at clubs in Little Rock, Memphis and Orlando. Currently enjoying Atlanta. If it's good music it's good music, you know it when you hear it, genres mean nothing. Everything I listen to influences me, it's what allows my music to go in so many different directions. Over the years I've been affected by people like Steve Lawler, Sasha, Digweed, Oakenfold, PVD, Zabiela, UNKLE, Medway, Josh Wink, Tenaglia, Mark Farina, Nick Warren, Jimmy Van M, Dave Seaman, James Lavelle, Spooky, Tipper, Massive Attack, Underworld, Maetrik, Anthony Pappa, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Audiofly, Future Sound of London, Eelke Kleijn, Lee Burridge, Hybrid, and so many more...

technics 1200, Pioneer DJM-500 Mixer, Roland xp60,Roland sp808,Roland jp8000,Roland mc505,digi002 rack,Logic pro 9. DJ Gaetano has been djing since the age of 15. He initially found interest in underground Hip Hop, Reggae and Latin freestyle. Back then, spinning at friends house parties for fun were Gaetano first experiences with turntables. After seeing great reactions at the house parties Gaetano decided to take it to the next level and started pursuing the nightclubs to let him showcase his skills. At the age of 18 he received his first residency at Alley Cat nightclub in New Haven, CT. While spinning at Alley Cat. Gaetano started to experiment with the style of music that was new to him at the time House music. He noticed that it was this style of music that not only moved the crowds and created a positive club atmosphere, but also opened up his horizons. Getting serious about his music, Gaetano began investing money into studio equipment, so he could try to emulate the same sounds that were coming from his records. Continuing with the club residency, Gaetano also started spinning at local raves, experimenting with more sub-genres of electronic music. There, after networking with fellow DJs and producers, more gigs started pouring in. Continuing with hard work and persistence, a few years down the road, Gaetano found himself spinning at the Miami Winter Music conference. Fast forward to 2010, Gaetano continues to hone his skills in the studio and in the DJ booth, constantly recording new mixes and original tracks. What can be certain after all these years – dance music is still his true love. ; ; ; ; Bs As Deep,Facundo Mohr,Maindave,D-Phrag,Frangellico,Hernan Cattaneo,Martin Garcia, Marcello Vasami,Sound Process,Bobby Deep,Santiago Deep,RPO, MainDave, Kintar, Dario Nunez, Victor Calderone, Hugo Rizzo, Chus & Ceballos, Luca Ricci etc etc etc and the list goes on =)

a few broken computers and a shitload of freeware from the internet. that's not my bag, baby. labguest started out making electronic music and doing some light production work about five or six years ago in his lo-fi bedroom studio, and just recently started getting into recording DJ mixes. originally trained in jazz on the trumpet, this self-taught producer's sets include a lot of progressive-influenced house, a lot of 90s pop and dance remixes, and a serious juxtaposition of new and old, obscure and kitschy. labguest developed his sound from a peculiar mix of genres and got into electronic music ironically enough through psychedelic jam bands and their complicated set lists, especially the inverted set list style of the disco biscuits and their electronica side project, conspirator. this, and an increasing taste for instrumental hip hop, IDM, and classic detroit house, drew labguest towards a more uptempo flavor and away from mash-ups and composition to experimenting with transitions and set work. Located in the Hudson Valley, labguest is a part time student, full-time artist involved in graphic design, audio production, architecture, and any interesting combination of the above. Feel free to contact me for tracklistings not posted or anything else. check out youtube.com/veach52 for original psychedelic hip hop and house styled electronica Theo Parrish, the Disco Biscuits, The New Deal, Ulrich Schnauss, Aphilas, Boards of Canada, Infected Mushroom, Cheebacabra, The Field, Luomo, BT, Chemical Brothers, Lil Wayne, Ratatat, Crookers, Gui Borrato, Bob Dylan, Fripp&Eno, Steve Aoki, Flying Lotus, Binary Star, Kiss FM, Laidback Luke, Deadmau5, Wu-Tang Clan, The Avalanches, Eliot Lipp, STS9, The New Deal, Kaskade, Deadmau5, JayZ, Scott Storch

Numark CDN-88 twin deck cd players and Numark DM1920X mixer (yea i kno, both old pieces of kit,but still do the job!) I only do CD mixing so not bothered about any vinyl purists comments..To add to this description of equip etc,i have just purchased the Numark Total Control set-up complete with Traktor 3LE & Numark Cue LE progs as standard. only just starting to get used to this (at this time its the 31.01.09) but will eventually inc mixes from this equipment...if there is anyone who is using this gear i would love to know your opinions & how you rate this kit! Lots of Breaks,Electro & Fidget Style,Progressive,Funky,Tech,Electro & Commercial House too. Have played for about 11yrs now. Both club and mobile work. Very big on Breaks & Electro music. Not currently djing(clubs) only mobile work for now but will hopefully be able to get back into the bar/club scene in the near future. As i mentioned briefly above,my prefered style of dance music right now is Breaks & Electro. The funkier and harder the break, and the dirtier the electro is just fine with me. But i am versatile and enjoy playing other genres too, like Commercial House,Funky,Progressive (Always Loved an epic breakdown) closely followed by Trance and not forgetting DnB & Dubstep! These styles can quite often be found in my mixes. I,like everyone else on this site have a strong passion for music, and for entertaining all those people out there who just love to dance.... Not so much artists (as i could go on for ever & ever..) but more Genres (of house) such as Progressive,Electro,Funky,Tech,Breaks & Commercial. Some of the sounds to expect in my mixes.

groovemixer

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada groovemixer started DJ'ing at the age of 23. Experimenting with rental equipment he soon purchased his first mixer and CD players. What started out as requests to DJ friend’s house parties soon turned into requests for car shows, youth events, weddings and club venues. Music tastes originated back at the age of 12 with a strict following in the heavy metal genre. As a late teen he started listening to Rap & Hip-Hop which eventually birthed his tastes towards House and Trance music. With influences from DJ Scott Blackwell, AJ Mora, World Wide Message Tribe, Above & Beyond, and Armin Van Buuren he soon realized his greatest desire was to mix Trance, House and Progressive music. Currently he continues to DJ house parties and club venues in and around Toronto. He also produces his own podcast called Audio Nutrition which is available at www.AudioNutrition.com Keeping up with technology he uses the latest gear but enjoys to mix the old school way of beat mixing by ear. He perceives DJ'ing as a way to share and tell others about the music he loves and is passionate about. “If the music you’re listening to doesn't give you goosebumps, you’re listening to the wrong genre." ..:::groovemixer:::..
